From January 1st Dar Es Salaam have shifted to digital from analogue transmission. The analogue transmissions have been switched off. (for more about this read here)
Currently most companies that provide services for the digital transmissions have no package for hotels. For the hotel to have TV transmission, there must be a decoder at every room! One of the companies have promise to have a package for the hotels before April this year. We hope that they will keep the promise!
The only company that have package for hotels (DSTV) have only one local channel. There is an unconfirmed report that they will add more local channels in the near future. We are waiting for that to happen.
For the moment TV programmes can be seen at the public areas only (not in rooms).

All TVs are now working. All local channels as well as few international channels are available
